Girls soccer Geneva Emily Fechner scored with six minutes remaining to give Geneva (10-7-1) a 1-1 tie with highly regarded Wheaton North Thursday in Wheaton. Krista Jezior provided the assist on the equalizer. Wheaton North scored shortly before halftime.

As I wrote last week, the State of Illinois is attempting to establish distance restrictions at most Illinois dams. They are attempting to restrict water usage 50-feet below the dams and 300-feet above the dams. We are in the middle of a 15-day review period and then this will go into law.
